LABview is an autonomous laboratory camera and video system for examining evidence like body fluids, hair and fibres, GSR, and fingerprints. In addition, this system can examine untreated evidence or evidence already treated with developers like NIN, DFO, IND, or stains and powders.

LABview uses our modular LIGHTcube series to provide a range of light sources from UV to IR to give you the perfect lighting scenario for your evidence.

An automated filter wheel integrated with the system saves you time. It ensures you always use the correct filter for your lighting and photography needs, giving you the best results.

LABview can also be equipped with a secondary light amplifier camera system like that used in SCENEview to increase sensitivity to developers like Luminol.

Different Models with Customization Options

The simplest version, LABview LV700 BASIC, comes with a sensitive 6MPix camera for visible and IR range camera work. The PRO version can be ordered with an even higher resolution 10MPix camera.

LABview LV800 (also available in BASIC and PRO versions) has a second camera mounting position equipped with our light amplifier camera, designed to be especially sensitive to light emitted by chemical reagents such as Luminol, Bluestar and Lumiscene. It amplifies this light up to 70000 times, making it easily visible on camera even when it is invisible to the naked eye. Not only does this drastically reduce costs by reducing the amount of reagent needed, but it also reduces the risk of altering and damaging evidence using too much reagent.

Automatic Filter Wheel coordinated with your Lighting

The lighting options of your LABview system can comfortably be changed quickly and easily via the touch panel display. When a new light source is connected to the systems, the lighting adjustment option will automatically appear on the show. In addition, when a light source is selected, the automated filter wheel will rotate and choose the ideal filter for the light source being used.

In addition to automatic lighting adjustments, users can manually adjust the picture brightness for the best image quality.

Application-Specific Customization Options

LABview is available in different resolutions with different camera configurations but has extensive lighting options.

Our compatible LIGHTcubes can easily be connected to and controlled by the LABview system, making it easy to adjust light and filter settings for every evidence scenario. Furthermore, light options can be customized to your needs, and additional light modules can always be added later.

Suppose pre-existing lighting equipment needs to be used with LABview. In that case, we also offer the option to add custom filters to the filter wheel, specific to your needs, which can be manually selected via the touch panel display.

Control Concept

Thanks to our innovative design, LABview requires no external PC to function. Instead, it is equipped with a fully functional multilingual camera and video system. In addition, stored data can easily be transferred via a USB connection or viewed on the system itself.

The system can connect external devices such as keyboards, mice, and larger external monitors if desired.

DNA Safety

When dealing with biological evidence, the issue of DNA safety and contamination is essential. Therefore, our system surface, controls, and display are designed to be easy to clean and contain no fan units that could disturb evidence or suck in debris that could later contaminate other materials.

Our passive cooling system is also monitored to ensure that the system’s internal temperature remains at a safe operating temperature and doesn’t overheat.

Mounting Options

LABview can be mounted on a standard copy stand using an adaptor if required to move evidence under a fixed camera system. Alternatively, we offer a convenient articulated camera arm mounting option that allows LABview to easily glide parallel to a work surface for easy viewing of evidence.

This can be used with systems like our motorized TABLEcol column, EVIscreen, and our evidence workstation, PHOTOventfor practical evidence handling.
